Services
In-house pensions administration departments typically do not want to outsource due to a real and justified fear of loss of both control and knowledge. UBSi has been working with pensions departments for the last eight years to develop an alternative approach to outsourcing; one which offers a genuine partnership of resource and knowledge. We have built up an impressive client base who now enjoy the benefits of this alternative approach. Our services include:
Bespoke Projects
We can undertake specific projects for clients or act as an actuarial or design resource for the client team undertaking such work. For example, many employers are now looking to reduce the financial burden of their occupational pension schemes. This market is forecast to grow significantly, driven by the combination of regulatory and commercial pressures. UBSi can assist employers design a pension strategy which will reduce the risks faced by the employer and the pension scheme.
We also offer specialised pensions administration in areas such as Transfer Bureaux, Pensions in Divorce together with communication exercises including wind-ups and redundancy exercises.
Co-sourcing
For clients who do not wish to follow the traditional outsourcing route we offer full pensions partnering or co-sourcing services for defined benefit and hybrid schemes, whether on a contracted-in or a contracted-out basis. We can either take on a specific role (eg call centre) or specific activities such as processing new entrants or leavers or a specific membership category (eg deferred pensioners) or a specific scheme. This will free up your in-house resources and enable you to concentrate on your core activities.
Data cleansing
The majority of occupational pension schemes hold data which is not completely accurate or has vital data missing. We can use our knowledge to assist schemes in cleaning data. This can be as simple as ensuring addresses are up to date or as complicated as checking scheme GMP records match HMRC records. This is a cost-effective, often a self-funding exercise which helps ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act.
